Liner Reaming by WWO Team and with Use of CT training was held in Nizhnevartovsk from the 23th to the 25th of January, 2024. 10 employees of various Separate Business Units were trained in theory and visited the base of one of the Contractors where they familarized with the liner reaming equipment: milling cutters, impression blocks, finishing tools, downhole drilling motors and other auxiliary equipment used to perform such work.
The training was conducted by Ivan Vassilyevich Bochkaryov, Mettlabs LLC's Personnel Training and Development Director, and Alexey Mikhailovich Poglazov, TSS LLC's WI Director.
The issues considered during the event were as follows:
At the end of training, an examination test on the learned material was held. Training certificates were handed in. It is planned that such training will be regularly conducted in the future.
- History of coil tubing (CT) introduction and development
- Theoretical information on the CT Fleet, equipment, applications and various downhole tools.
- Theoretical information on the Well Workover (WWO) Team, its equipment, applications and various downhole tools.
- Peculiarities of drilling-out of the casing string attachments, potential problems depending on the downhole conditions, correct choice of the equipment.
- Familiarization with the liner reaming equipment, fishing tools at the Contractor's base.
At the end of training, an examination test on the learned material was held. Training certificates were handed in. It is planned that such training will be regularly conducted in the future.
