Successful application of the formation isolation valve technology at the Bovanenkovo gas condensate field, Customer: ООО "Gazpromneft-Zapolyare

The TSS Group successfully completed a well construction project at the Bovanenkovo field, with OOO Gazpromneft-Zapolyarye as the customer.

The aims of this technology are as follows:

• Lower expenditures and risks during operation;
• Isolation of the formation without well killing;
• Easier round trip operations.

The formation isolation valve is designed to block the tubing bore of the liner and forms a mechanical barrier during well construction and workover operations.

The formation isolation valve advantages are as follows:

• Replacement of downhole equipment without killing the well;
• Blockage of the liner bore after hydraulic fracturing operations (for various purposes, including well conservation);
• The valve bore diameter enables up to 9 stages of hydraulic fracturing to be performed (using the available range of balls/seats);
• Re-opening / re-closing of the valve. The first opening is done without additional round trip operation and is carried out by increasing the pressure in the tubing space.
